Houston 2026 FIFA World Cup

Houston will take center stage as it plays host to matches of the 2026 FIFA World Cup, capturing the attention of the global audience.

NRG Stadium was revealed on Thursday as one of the 16 venues across North America selected to host games for the esteemed international football tournament.

Houston’s inclusion marks the culmination of a successful four-year effort by a bid committee, which not only highlighted the structural merits of NRG Stadium but also emphasized the rich cultural tapestry of one of the most diverse cities in the United States.

This selection stands as a significant milestone for Houston, a city that has previously welcomed three Super Bowls, three NCAA Men’s Final Fours.

The “United 2026” World Cup is slated to feature 60 matches, featuring a field of 48 countries. Notably, this tournament will mark the first time in its history that the World Cup will be jointly hosted by three nations.
